Basingstoke-B 2, Bournemouth 12

Due to a bit of mix up Bournemouth turned up at 8.45 for an 8.15 start D'oh. By which time Basingstoke had organised an impromptu training match, and here in lies our undoing. The first quarter started disastrously with the play going all Bournemouth's way as Basingstoke seemed to struggle to switch out of training mode. Lesser teams would give up in face of such adversity, but Basingstoke get battling and for their endeavours conceded another batch of goals :(

We continued to play rubbish and conceded goals at regular intervals throughout the rest of the half. No blame attached to the keeper

By half time it was looking rather bleak and Basingstoke still weren't on the score sheet. A little respect was gained by getting two back in an otherwise pretty dismissal second half which finished 12-2 at the final whistle. A game to forget for Basingstoke but it could have been so different if Bournemouth had turned up on time

Men of the match: Brad, Hilton, Kath, Sean & Phil Donkey of the match: Brad, for that disastrous swim out of goal in the fourth
