The British Water Polo conference takes place in Loughborough next month and provides a valuable insight into the sport's pathway to 2012 as well as a chance to network with water polo representatives from across the country.

Whether you're a coach, athlete, official or volunteer in water polo, there is something for everyone at this annual event.

Olympic bronze medallist Steve Parry heads the line-up and will provide inspiration for anyone who wants to succeed on the world stage.

National Performance Director Nick Hume and Chief Executive David Sparkes will outline the sport's development plans and explain the strategy for achieving success on the world stage, with particular emphasis on building a competitive squad for 2012.

With the ASA's club accreditation scheme Swim 21 now available to all water polo clubs, North West Swim 21 Coordinator Julie Allsopp and GB team captain Fran Leighton will explain its importance in developing clubs across the country.

Coach Education Manager Spencer Moore is also on hand to provide an update on the UK Coaching Certificate - the new national framework for coach and teacher education supported by the Government which will be introduced from January next year.

For those with an eye on the law, ASA Judicial Commissioner Roger Williams and international referee Brian Littlejohn provide an update for referees and officials as well as a briefing on the latest judicial procedures.

This one-day conference takes place on Saturday 2 September at Loughborough University. The conference costs just £20 per person and includes lunch and refreshments throughout the day.
