Waterpolo is a sport which originated in England during the 1870's. It's international popularity grew rapidly, becoming a major sport in a number of European countries and the U.S. and Australia.
This aquatic sport consists of two teams competing against one another in a swimming pool. The object of the game is to score a goal by getting a buoyant ball into the opposing teams netted goal, each one at facing ends of the playing area.
